    E-tourist Visa

That's awesome! Definitely a good idea for tourists who wanted to make the commitment, but didn't have the time to go through the mess of applying. It was an absolute horror show when I first applied for my visa. I'm sure everyone else has their own experiences, but damn - did they just make it...

    Driving In India

Haha, no way. After watching what my cabbie had to go through - classical driving experience is not what I'd define it as :). I've just seen too many people not respecting the rules of the road in Delhi to even broach the idea of getting behind the wheel. I guess it works for some people...

    Dominant Language In Mauritius?

I was wondering if there was a dominant language in the main part of Mauritius.. Is it mostly french? English? Something else? I've always been curious about this, especially hearing from someone whose been there before. Can't get all the information you need online.

    Trek for beginners in Himalayas

I definitely envy you. One thing I am not good at is trekking. Probably because I have four knee surgeries (and counting!). I used to be really big into rucksacking, but after so many years of it... Your body definitely lets you know it's time to stop. (Especially the Himalayas! Bless your heart!)

    Food Recommendations In Gwalior

I always keep a journal for different countries, and jot down people's recommendations - just in case I ever go there! So, definitely appreciate the feedback on this kind of stuff. Especially restaurants. I may not look like a porker, but I sure as hell love food!!

Have You Ever Been In A Tough Situation While Traveling?

I've noticed that in a lot of places in Asia - in fact, mostly in Asia. It's not like the US, where if someone sees something, they say something. I don't know if it's because as Americans, we share a common empathy. "Would I want my stuff stolen from this guy? No? Well, I better speak up...

Have You Ever Been In A Tough Situation While Traveling?

Thankfully, a lot of the world is full of kind, respectful people. Which is probably why I haven't experienced a good deal of horror stories. The best advise anyone gave me is "look the part" - the ability to avoid attracting attention to yourself. For me, this isn't a problem. Well, until I...

    Wagah Guard Changing Ceremony

Has anyone ever watched the Guard Changing Ceremony on the Wagah border? This is something I definitely plan on doing on my next vacation! I've seen youtube videos, but I've never actually experienced the event? I was just curious how often it happens - if it's every day?

    If There Was One Place..

If there was one place that you could retire at.. Where would it be? Definitely for me it'd be Fiji. There's something majestic about those islands that really grabs my attention. But on the other hand, I want to spend most of my time in India (it's where my heart is, and never left!). I just...

Are You An Introvert Or An Extrovert?

I'm definitely an extrovert then. I'm very outgoing, and like to engage with new people I meet on the job or on my travels. I've always been like that since I was a kid - and I really think I got it from my parents. They were always very outgoing and kind to strangers. It's definitely helped...

    Carrying pocket knife in India

Couldn't have been said any better. Last time I went to Espana, I had to forfeit my close-shave kit. I didn't feel too bad about it, since it wasn't sentimental, but it cost at least $40! You can't really trust airport security sticking to the rules - if they don't want it on the plane, it's...

    Must Eat Places In Delhi

I feel I never really explored the underbelly of Delhi well enough - especially when my friends tell me about all the restaurants that I missed! I can't wait until I get another chance to go back to India. This time, it'll be a food journey! I think it'd be an even better idea if I blog about...

Cherai Beach - A Must Visit In South India.

Absolutely! My dream is to continue saving enough money to park myself permanently on a small stretch of beachfront serenity! I'm almost at my goal (well, in about 6 years), but the more beaches I research, the more unrealistic this dream becomes. From what I've heard from some ex-pats, however...

Have You Ever Been In A Tough Situation While Traveling?

Well, my experiences abroad, for the most part have always been pretty tame. Although, while traveling in Deutschland - Mannheim, to be exact - I had the misfortune of mistakenly walking into a Bavarian labor rally. As soon as they found out as I was American, by saying, "Excuse me! Sorry!" as I...

Cherai Beach - A Must Visit In South India.

I don't know but if that beach looks as beautiful as it does on that picture, I might have found my next destination. Honestly, I've been to a lot of beaches, and I've really been let down by how they look in real life, compared to how they looked in a brochure/online. It's almost as if...
