I have already created a thread about the Manali-Leh highway, and now I have some questions about the Srinagar-Leh highway which may seem a bit similar to each other. I know that the Srinagar-Leh highway is much better than the Manali-Leh highway, but a few more details would help me decide...

I have read a few posts on the forum regarding going to Leh and majority of them suggest going to Leh via Srinagar and not via Manali. Although it has also been mentioned that the route via Manali is more scenic. Why is it that the Manali-Leh highway is not as good as the Srinagar-Leh highway...
