If I reach Agra railway station, how far is the Taj Mahal from there? What mode of transport will I be able to get from Agra railway station to Taj Mahal?

My boyfriend and I will be coming to India for a holiday in mid-November. Our stay will be in Delhi for two weeks, and we are then thinking of going to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and fort. Can someone please provide details on how to travel from Delhi to Agra?
