Regular Cruises Or Boat Trips. Are They Available?

You can book trips that cruise the interior waters of India. They take you by villages and make stops along the way. Go online and enter boat cruises in India and it will bring up a few of coast and river cruises.

    What To Wear?

It depends on where you go. If it's a large city you will see young people dress in western clothing. I think they prefer you cover your shoulders and legs but they also know you are a tourist, so I'm sure they won't hold anything against you.

When And Where Can I See Snow In India?

There is skiing in northern parts of India like Gulmarg in the Himalayas and Kulfri, so I bet there is plenty of snow in these regions. You can book into ski resorts and enjoy the snow.

    Bollywood?

Yes, I believe that you can visit sets in Mumbai, which is where a lot of movies are made. I think someone said something about it in another thread. That you may run into a movie being made when you are Mumbai.

    Wi-fi

I would guess that the hotels in the city offer WiFi as they would in other countries. No doubt that would be one of the important perks that hotels would need to attract visitors and tourists. It may not be available in the little villages and rural areas but you shouldn't need to connect to...

    Would You Visit India Again?

I haven't been to India yet but I've already gotten ahead of myself and am looking forward to at least 3 visits there to see as much as I can. As a traveler most people know that there are things you may not like and that sometimes stuff happens, that shouldn't keep you from enjoying India.

    Skiing Trip In India

Has anyone done any ski trips in India? I do know that from January to March there are some ski hills open and wondered where the best place to ski would be? Which ski area offers the best views from the top and the most runs for your money?

    Treehouse Resorts In Kerala

Has anyone stayed in one of the treehouse resort rooms in India? There is one I found in Sholayar Forest near Athirapally Falls called the Rainforest Boutique. It looks absolutely stunning and has a view of the Falls and surrounding forest. It only has space for two adults and does not have...

    Current Weather Conditions in Mumbai

If the weather is hot and humid then the beaches would be the best place. I think for traveling and touring you'd be better off in November and December. Right now it is hot and humid 70 degrees.

    Sim Cards

Does your carrier offer a cheap roaming service, call them and see what they offer? If not I'd buy a sim card in India and use that while there. They must have pay as you go type phones there? Better yet, if you have a tablet bring it with you and use the hotel's WiFi. Most people are...

    Buying Train Tickets

My girlfriend is like you. She wants everything planned down to where we go, eat, sleep, travel, etc. As she puts it, she doesn't want to get to where we are going and be disappointed that we couldn't do something because we were too late. I think you can check out the Indian Railway Catering...

Has Anyone Tried House Swapping For Holidays

When I was looking for accommodations for our trip, a coworker told me about a house swap that she did with another person in France. She stayed for three weeks at this person's house and at the same time the owner vacationed here and stayed at the coworker's home. She said it worked out...

    Couch Surfing?

I don't know that I'd do this. How do you know the reviews are legitimate and not just the owner posting as different people to give him/herself good reviews? I think my instinct would be to avoid these types of places.

I Don't Know How To Say No

I agree with everything said above. Don't lie and just be truthful. Make sure you have a list of things you want to do but know she won't, that way it backs you up when you explain why you are going alone.

Important Things To Talk About Before Making Plans

That's a great idea, Bayleaf. Even traveling with a significant other means you need to have a plan on what and when you do things. Topic 2: Rent a car or public transportation at your destinations?
