Someone I know traveled to Bhutan by road and was very impressed by the smooth roads in Bhutan. Also, he was able to see some beautiful scenery on the way to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. I am thinking of going by road too, instead of flying down.
I have observed that in many hotels the quieter rooms are the ones that are on higher floors. This is because the external noises don't come into the room. I have heard that many hotels are near busy roads in Indian cities so is taking a higher room better for less noise?
I traveled with my pet dog once and went through a harrowing time because there are very few dog-friendly hotels or places in the world. Pets are best kept at home and are not easy to take along when you are traveling.
I always drink bottled water when I travel because the ones I buy have minerals in it and boosts the immune system in the body. Also, you never know with tap water - in some places it might be safe to drink and in others not.
I have come to know about Alibag from one of the travel magazines I was reading the other day. What is interesting is that it has a fort as well as a beach at the same place. I have never seen a fort at a beach and so wanted to ask whether it is worth going.
My friends who are traveling with me would like to shake a leg when they are in New Delhi. Are there any good discotheques that they can go to, which is not too expensive and more importantly, is safe to be in?
I don't visit casinos too much and I am sure I won't miss them. But, from my travels, I have found that casinos attract tourists and are a good revenue earner for the economy. I am sure that there are many tourists who travel to Goa for the casinos.
I found this thread useful because I may need to leave my bags while I am out and need to check out the same day. I carry a lot of luggage wherever I go because I buy a lot of gifts when I am traveling and would like to bring back something nice for my friends and family.
The whole world is talking about how driverless cars are going to change the transportation industry and make life better for people. A friend of mine who visited India recently said that it could work anywhere in the world but not in India because of the chaotic traffic conditions. Do you agree?
In Europe, window shopping is very common and some of us do it for hours. It is more of a tradition among shoppers and we love going around window shopping. Is it possible to do window shopping in Delhi?
If you are staying in a good hotel they will provide you with mosquito sprays in case there are mosquitoes in your room. Carrying a mosquito net with you will only mean more luggage, and I wouldn't bother with it.
I would avoid going to Pakistan if I were you. There is a lot happening there as per the news and it would not be safe to that area at all. Travel only if you must and there is no alternative.
I wonder what the tiger perceives the mask to be because a human being cannot hide his figure that has 2 legs. From what I know, tigers are usually not afraid of living beings with 2 legs including human beings.
Unmarried couple do not face a problem in any part of the world and I don't see any reason why there should be a problem in India. Until the time that they are two consenting adults they will have no issue.
