By what time it gets dark in India

This might sound like a silly question, but I want to know is there any way by which I can find by what time it gets dark in India during a particular time of year and how many hours of the Sun do we get in a day. I am a student of botany and I am visiting India for research purpose, so just want to ensure my days and work hours are planned accordingly.

Welcome to India Travel Community, India is a very big country and I am not sure which state are you talking about. I live in New Delhi and here during winter season we get around 6 hours of Sun everyday i.e. 10 AM to 4 PM.
