My boyfriend and I are interested in going to the Casino Pride in Goa and would like to know more about the entry fee and what services and facilities it includes. We have read different things about food being included in the entry fee, so if that was cleared out it would be great. We would also like to know if there is one set entry fee, or different entry fees depending on the time spent and services required?

According to the law, casinos can only operate in five-star properties or offshore ships. The Casino Pride belongs to the latter category, as it is a riverboat casino. There are actually two offshore vessel casinos that the same group operates, named the Casino Pride and Casino Pride 2. Of the two, the original is the Casino Pride and also the more popular. Casino Pride 2 was established a bit later, after the success of the original Casino Pride. The Casino Pride (Facilities & Services) As mentioned above, the Casino Pride is spread around three floors. The first floor is the casino proper, where you would find a variety of slot machines and gaming tables. International games like Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Poker, Mini Flush and Wheel of Fortune can all be found within this floor. Likewise, Indian gambling games such as Rummy, Mang Patta and Andar Bhahar can also be enjoyed here. The interiors of the first floor are quite opulent, with golden decors and lots of lightings. The vessel casino was once owned by a different hotel group but was bought by the Pride Group in 2014. As compared to the previous casino vessel, this one is a bit smaller though fitted with more modern facilities. It is also located in the Mandovi River but more distant from the jetty point. You can also access it from the Captain Of Ports Jetty. The Casino Pride 2 is a bit further from the state capital, Panjim, at about four kilometres away. The nearest hotel to the casino is the Hotel Zillion Inn. The Fish Market of the city is just 350 metres away from the casino. Entry fees depend on the day of the week of your visit and whether it's off-peak tourist season or peak tourist season. The Casino Pride 2 (Facilities & Services) The Casino Pride 2 offers the same facilities and services, albeit on a smaller scale. It has only two floors, the first floor of which is the casino proper. There's a separate VIP section as well for elite individuals who can afford the rates. There are around 27 gaming tables with international games such as Blackjack, Baccarat and various Poker games. There are also around 50 slot machines that one can utilise. The design of the first floor is more laid-back but the fewer crowds are suitable for those who enjoy a bit of serenity while playing. On the second floor are other areas, like the Restaurant, which again, serves Indian and International cuisines. There's the special Kid's Zone where the little ones can play with video games, watch movies or interact with other children their age. There are bunk beds here that they can also sleep in if ever they get tired. Onto the deck area, this is where the adults or even children can enjoy the dance performances. Like the former vessel, the performances are Bollywood themed. Services like baby sitting and pick-up/drop-off are also offered here, since they are operated by the same management. If purely for the ambience, Casino Pride is a better option as it has more elegant interiors. Special Events Both Casino Pride and Casino Pride 2 hold special events daily. The first event is a Lucky Draw wherein huge amounts of One-Time Play (OTP) chips are drawn to lucky winners. You won't need to worry about having your names dropped as the staff do so this for all guests. The draw is common for both Casino Pride and Casino Pride 2 so it doesn't matter what vessel you visit. During weekdays, three lucky winners of such OTP chips are drawn for Rs. 15,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 50,000. During weekends, three lucky winners of such OTP chips are drawn for Rs. 30,000, Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 110,000. Do be present at the gaming floor at around 2:00 in the morning. The second event is the Women's Gala, which is also held everyday at different timings, namely: 24:00, 2:00 and 4:00. During these timings, women guests are given Rs. 500 worth of OTP chips. All women present in the casino would be given the free chips but they have to play it on the same night on one game only. Must Know Facts You can access both Casino Pride and Casino Pride 2 with just one entry fee. The management operates ships running from one casino to the other, every five minutes or so. So you can start with Casino Pride 2 and after you're done with it, transfer to Casino Pride using the same ship. The ships though run from Casino Pride 2 to Casino Pride only. So if you go to Casino Pride first, then you miss your chance of visiting the Casino Pride 2. Hence, it's advisable to reach the Casino Pride 2 if you want to explore both casino vessels. The dress code for both casino vessels is smart casual. So this means that flip-flops, shorts and sleeveless shirts are not allowed. It's best to look a bit made up, wearing pants, trousers, closed shoes and for the ladies, dresses are good options. Most casinos have this policy anyway and you risk not getting in by not following the imposed rules. Children are not allowed on the gaming floor, hence they have an allotted Kid's Zone section of both vessels. This is also to limit their exposure on gambling and smoking. The Casino Pride and Casino Pride 2 remain open 24 hours daily. You can visit at the wee hours of the morning or night, depending upon your schedule. However, weekends, especially night time, sees the most crowds. If you want to avoid such crowds, then reach the casino vessels during day time or weekdays only. Nightly entertainment begins at around 21:00 and lasts until 23:00. Performers are usually Nepalese dancers but themes are usually Bollywood or Indian.
