I am going to Jaipur and plan to stay there for one week, along with me will be my wife and five-year-old son. I am considering staying at the Four Points by Sheraton and there are a few things which I would like to know about the hotel before I make any bookings. I would like to know what amenities and services they provide and especially and special service for guests with small children and also I would like to get an overall review of the hotel.
Hello, welcome to the forum! (Images from Hotels and Make My Trip) Overview Located six kilometres away from the Jaipur International Airport is the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. This is a premium and trendy property, under eight kilometres away from attractions like the Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and Jaipur City Palace. The hotel has a cream facade, featuring a modern architectural style, quite in contrast with the heritage city of Jaipur. The Four Points Hotel is under the global and renown name of Sheraton, though they have more affordable room options, without compromising much on quality. Their philosophy is to provide comfort and modern facilities to guests, even beyond the affordability of the rooms, for an overall luxury experience, known from the Sheraton chain of hotels. The Hotel Four Points by Sheraton can be designated as a mid-range chain of hotels under the luxury property. It all began in the early 20th century when the Sheraton Inn properties were rebranded into the Four Points properties. The Four Points Hotel in Jaipur is just the same, a trendy hotel, catering to both the business, leisure and family travellers. The design of the hotel is very vibrant but minimalistic. The creamy motif continues into the lobby area, with just a few eccentric lights as accents. Rooms are equally minimalistic in design, suitable for the modern travellers. Some rooms though offer a great view of the city or the Aravalli ranges themselves. If you want to experience the luxury of staying in a four-star property, but still within budget, the Four Points by Sheraton in Jaipur is a good option. Both serves delectable local and international cuisine though. 1. The Eatery - The Eatery complements the concept of the hotel, bringing delicious basic food to the guests, in a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. With varying cuisines of the northern and southern sides of India, along with cuisines of the other regions of the world, you can certainly enjoy a meal in The Eatery. Interiors are very basic, with couches and soft chairs along with marble-like tables. The flooring is that of tiled marble too, with a few decors all around. There are two buffet spreads daily, one in the morning and another in the evening. They cost Rs. 450 and Rs. 550 respectively, so still on the affordable side. A must try here is their Tari Wala Murgh, which is simply chicken in red curry. Paired with their Naan, the spices of the curry come out even more. Their authentic Lal Maas is also worth trying out, it has the right balance of flavours, plus effectively rounds up a trip to the city, because it is one of the main dishes of the state. The Eatery is Four Point Hotel's pride, as it caters to every foodie out there, whether you're a vegetarian or non-vegetarian, there's something here for you. Cuisines - North Indian, South Indian, Continental and Western Opening Times - 6:30 to 23:30 Daily Must Try Dishes - Tari Wala Murgh and Lal Maas 2. Best Brews - The other restaurant slash lounge is named the Best Brews. The lounge has dim lighting and a central bar area, perfect for a night out for couples or for solo travellers. It is a cozy, almost private bar, with some music playing as background. However, it rarely gets crowded so it's not as rowdy or happening, if you're into those kinds of places. It does offer a bit of isolation, away from the mundane crowds of the city. The bar menu is quite extensive too, with whiskies, vodkas, tequilas and various alcohol-based beverages. On the other hand, the food menu is just one page, with some finger food and starter meals to go with your drink. A must try here is the Contemporary Tapas Platter, comprising of different varieties of kebabs like Chicken Kebab and Lamb Kebab, along with other starter dishes. Their Garlic Sautéed Prawns, with its tangy and spicy flavours, is also quite delicious. They would still need to be guided when approaching the swimming pool. It is fairly average sized, located on a terrace deck. Thus, when the whole city is lit up at night, the view from the deck area is nothing short of amazing. Close to the swimming pool area, actually overlooking it, is the gym. Here, adults can enjoy being healthy, all the while enjoying the wonderful view of the pool. Usual amenities like treadmills, static bikes and weights can be found here. A nearby spa and massage centre can also be utilised by guests, but for an additional price. For corporate events, the hotel also has some meeting halls, where audio visual facilities and internet access are available. Even for events like weddings or birthday parties, the Aravali Ballroom of the hotel can be utilised. Just make sure that you inquire about these facilities beforehand and even reserve as early as possible, to avoid delays in your appointments. Other important facilities such as parking, elevator and travel desk can also be found in the hotel. The former two are free of charge, while the latter might have incurred charges. Services offered by the hotel are shuttle services, laundry services, valet services, dry cleaning services and room services. Internet is available free of charge in the hotel's lobby area. You can avail of internet in your room as well, for a charge of Rs. 700 per day.
