Hi there, welcome to the forum!
So there are two routes that you can take to reach Ranthambore from Jaipur. On average though, the distance between these two destinations is about
170 kilometres. If you're driving that distance, it can take you around 3 hours and 30 minutes to cover it. Here are the two routes that you can take to reach Ranthambore from Jaipur:
- Route via Tonk - Jaipur > Mansarovar > Shivdaspura > Kothun > Gunsi > Tonk > Kakod > Sawai Madhopur > Ranthambore.
This route is about 193 kilometres long so it can take around 4 hours to cover the distance. This is the longer route but roads here are generally in good condition. From Jaipur to Tonk, roads are in excellent condition. Roads are smooth and easily drivable and you would reach Tonk in over an hour or so.
From Tonk to Sawai Madhopur, roads are in good condition too. Most are two lane roads but well-maintained and has good amount of tar in it. After a while, you'd reach Ranthambore from Sawai Madhopur and the drive from there is also a breeze.
This is the better route although it can take longer to cover the distance. Roads are mostly two lanes but very wide so still easy to manage driving in.
- Route via Dausa - Jaipur > Dausa > Lalsot > Bilona > Soorwal > Sawai Madhopur > Ranthambore.
This route is about 168 kilometres long so it can take around 3 hours and 30 minutes to cover. From Jaipur to Dausa, roads are in excellent conditions. Back then, the roads in this stretch were really patchy and bad. It was just renovated and driving through this route is good now.
From Dausa to Lalsot, road conditions are average. Some stretches are in bad conditions especially about two kilometres before Lalsot. Other than that, it's manageable and you can reach Lalsot in an hour or so.
From Lalsot to Sawai Madhopur, roads are in good condition again. They are mostly two lane roads and very wide too. They are smoothly laid so driving here would be very easy.
From Sawai Madhopur to Ranthambore, road conditions are good as well. You can reach Ranthambore in under an hour.
This is a good route too, apart from the about ten kilometres of rough patches. If time is your main concern, then take this route.
There you go, I hope this helps you. Enjoy your trip to Ranthambore!
