I will soon be taking my daughter to Hyderabad for her training which would last for 2 weeks.
I would like to know what the weather in Hyderabad is like so that we know what kind of clothes to take along with us.
As we don't know what the final date of the training is, I would like to get an overview of how the weather in Hyderabad is like throughout the year.

As you don't know when you would be traveling to Hyderabad I will give you an overview of what the weather is like in Hyderabad so you get an idea.

Generally, throughout the year the temperatures in Hyderabad are on the higher side especially from the months April to June. Like the rest of India, the monsoons in Hyderabad start in June and carry on until the month of September.
The temperature from November to March is quite pleasant and the highest temperatures you would expect are around 28c - 29c and lowest 15c - 17c.

I hope this gives you a good idea of the weather in Hyderabad and you would be able to know what kind of clothes to take with you.

Before we dive into the weather, it's essential to understand Hyderabad's geographical position. Situated in the southern part of India, Hyderabad experiences a tropical climate. Its proximity to the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea significantly influences its weather patterns.

    Distinct Seasons

Hyderabad typically experiences three primary seasons: summer, monsoon, and winter. Each season brings its own set of characteristics, making the city's climate diverse throughout the year.

    1. Summer (March to June): Hyderabad's summers are notorious for their scorching heat. Temperatures can soar well above 40°C (104°F) during this period, making it one of the hottest cities in India. May is usually the hottest month. The dry heat can be quite oppressive, prompting many locals and tourists to seek shelter indoors during the day. However, Hyderabad's warm evenings and vibrant nightlife help residents and visitors cool off.

    2. Monsoon (June to September): The monsoon season brings much-needed relief from the summer heat. The city witnesses moderate to heavy rainfall during these months, with August being the wettest. The rain rejuvenates the parched landscapes and gives rise to lush greenery. However, occasional waterlogging and flooding in low-lying areas can be expected. Despite the rainfall, temperatures remain relatively warm, ranging from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F).

    3. Winter (October to February): Hyderabad's winter is marked by mild and pleasant weather. Daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F), making it an ideal time for outdoor activities and exploration. The cool evenings provide a comfortable atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Unlike many other Indian cities, Hyderabad's winters are not harsh, and you can enjoy the city's attractions without extreme cold.
    Weather Highlights

    • Rainfall: Hyderabad receives most of its rainfall during the monsoon season, with an average annual precipitation of around 89 centimeters (35 inches). The southwestern monsoon, which brings moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea, is the primary source of rainfall.

    • Hottest Months: May and June are the hottest months, with temperatures regularly exceeding 40°C (104°F). It's essential to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the intense sun if you plan to visit during this period.

    • Humidity: While humidity levels can rise during the monsoon season, Hyderabad generally experiences lower humidity compared to many coastal cities in India. This makes the heat more bearable.

    • Fog: In the early mornings of winter, especially in December and January, you might encounter some fog in parts of Hyderabad. However, it is generally not as dense or prolonged as in North India.
    Best Time to Visit Hyderabad

The ideal time to visit Hyderabad largely depends on your preferences and tolerance for heat and rainfall.

    • October to February: This is the most popular time for tourism in Hyderabad. The weather is mild, and outdoor activities are enjoyable. The city is alive with cultural events and festivals during this season.

    • March to June: If you can withstand the heat, you might find better hotel deals and fewer crowds during the summer months. However, be prepared for intense heat and stay hydrated.

    • June to September: Monsoon enthusiasts may enjoy the lush landscapes and cooler evenings during the rainy season. However, it's essential to stay updated on weather forecasts, as heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans.
