I have a bit of confusion about the airports in Mumbai, I thought that there was only one airport in Mumbai, but my neighbors are telling me there are two airports. Can someone please clear my doubt on how many airports there are in Mumbai?

Your neighbors are correct; Mumbai has two major airports:

    1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM): This is the primary and most well-known international airport in Mumbai. It is located in the suburb of Andheri, and it handles both domestic and international flights. This airport is one of the busiest in India and serves as a major gateway to the country. It has two main passenger terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) for domestic flights and Terminal 2 (T2) for both domestic and international flights.

    2. Juhu Airport (VAJJ): Juhu Airport is a smaller airport located in the Juhu area of Mumbai. It primarily handles general aviation, private, and non-scheduled flights. While it's not as widely used for commercial passenger flights as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, it is an essential facility for private and chartered aircraft.
So, in summary, Mumbai has two airports: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Juhu Airport (VAJJ). The former is the major commercial airport, while the latter is primarily used for general aviation and private flights.
