How Many States In North India?

I am going to be on my gap year, and together with my cousin, we would like to travel to India as well as other countries. We want to start our travels in the Northern part of India and therefore would like to know how many states are in North India? This would allow us to know what our duration would be in North India.

There are a total of nine states in North India which are:

Jammu anKashmirir

Himachal Pradesh

Punjab

Haryana

UP

Delhi

Chandigarh

Uttarakhand

Rajsthan.

These states all have something wonderful to offer, and I think the most time would be spent in the North as it has so much to offer. Enjoy your trip.
