How to reach Bhutan from Bangalore?

I wish to make a solo trip to Bhutan and would be traveling from Bangalore. I would like some help in knowing how to reach Bhutan from Bangalore?

I would like to know of all the options available so I can decide which one would be most suitable for me.

There is no direct way of reaching Bhutan from Bangalore, so you have to make one stop and change the mode of transport too.

Your options for traveling from Bangalore to Bhutan are as follows:

Bangalore - Siliguri - Thimphu

  • You would need to get a train from Bangalore to Siliguri (an overnight train)
  • From Siliguri, you need to get a taxi which would take you to Thimpu (Bhutan)
or

Bangalore - Bagdogra - Thimphu

  • From Bangalore, you would get a flight to Bagdogra
  • From Bagdogra, you would get a taxi to Thimphu (Bhutan)
