Kid Friendly Sites

I'll be bringing my children along on this trip and they will need to be active. What are some of the most kid friendly parks I could visit? They would also love to see all the animals. How is the best way to do this?

Jim Corbett National Park is one that I've heard great things about. I honestly think most outdoorsy things are good for kids - you don't need to worry about them getting fussy or making a lot of noise! Maybe if you're going to specific places though people could guide you further about local places that would be good!

Jim Corbett National Park look perfect amelia88. My kids would love this. We can stay on the property and do either a jeep safari or an elephant safari. I'm not sure I'm up to riding on an elephant. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think safari type things would be a wonderful experience for kids to get to see the wildlife! I know that I would have really enjoyed something like that when I was younger. I also think it's awesome that there are accommodation options right at the park which makes it all super convenient when you have a family. Glad that I could help!

Here are some kid-friendly parks you can visit in India that have animals:

Prani, The Pet Sanctuary, Bengaluru: This is a great initiative by a group of volunteers to rescue farm animals, house them in enclosures and tame them so that they are friendly with humans.Children will get to closely interact with various animals, including petting them or feeding them. They even have a tree house!

Children's Park, Chennai:This park has a small collection of animals including elephants, deer, and monkeys. There is also a toy train and boating lake, which are perfect for keeping kids entertained for a few hours.

Since these are parks with a smaller number of animals, if your kids are looking for a wider variety of wildlife, here are some options:

National Parks with Jeep Safaris: While National Parks aren't exactly playgrounds, a Jeep safari can be an exciting experience for children. If you're up for a bit of an adventure, consider visiting one of India's many national parks, like:

• Jim Corbett National Park: This park is home to tigers, elephants, and a variety of other animals. You can book jeep safaris that will take you through the park to see the wildlife in their natural habitat.
• Ranthambore National Park: This park is also known for its tigers, as well as leopards, sloth bears, and many species of birds
  
• Bandhavgarh National Park: Another park known for its tiger population, Bandhavgarh National Park also has leopards, wild boars, and a variety of deer species.

Important things to keep in mind when visiting National Parks with Kids:

• Choose the right National Park: Some parks may have restrictions on children's ages for safaris. It's best to check with the park authorities in advance.
• Book your Safari in Advance: Especially during peak season, safaris can get booked up quickly.
• Bring plenty of water and snacks: It can get hot and sunny on a safari, so be sure to pack plenty of fluids and snacks for the kids.
• Dress comfortably: Loose-fitting, long clothing is recommended to protect from the sun and insects.
• Bring binoculars: This will help the kids get a closer look at the animals.
