I would like to take my kids to the Leonia Resort in Hyderabad and would like to find out some information about the resort.

The main query I have is to find out what the Leonia Resort Hyderabad entry fee is for adults and children. I am also interested in finding out if there is any discount for group bookings.

I would also like to know that does the entry fee include meals as well?

The Location

The Leonia Holistic Destination is located in Shamirpet, specifically in Bommaraspet. It is located to the northeastern side of the outskirts of Hyderabad. It is about 31 kilometres away from the city centre of Hyderabad. It is usually approached using the Nehru Outer Ring Road. It is closer to Secunderabad, about 23 kilometres away from its city centre. Attractions like the Shamirpet Lake and Shamirpet Deer Park are under seven kilometres away from the resort. The nearest locality to the resort is Ponnal, a small village covered in greenery that actually compliments the entire resort premises. Due to its location though, access to restaurants, shopping areas or commercial areas are restricted.

The Vibe

Nestled in lush greenery, with various plants, flowers and trees, Leonia Holistic Destination takes the guest away from the concrete jungles of the city. You get closer to nature without having to leave the vicinity of the city. Most of the structures, the hotels and convention centres primarily, were designed aesthetically, using a contemporary style of architecture. Both the Celestial Suites and Lagoon Villas have their own separate swimming pool, different from the resort's water park. These hotels have low-rise buildings as compared to the business hotels, the Leo Biz Hotel and LICEC Hotel, which have higher structures. All in all, the Leonia Holistic Destination combines nature with modernity, giving guests their dose of relaxation, rejuvenation and comfort at the same time.

The Leo Splash Water Park

Leo Splash is the designated water park of the Leonia Holistic Destination. It is just one single swimming pool though huge in size. Lined with artificial coconut trees and sun lounges in its sides, the swimming pool exudes an almost beach-like vibe. There are fun slides, some are suitable for adults or teens only but others are suitable even for the little ones. The swimming pool also has areas like rain dance and canopied sprinklers. The water park is spread across a vast expanse so even if you are part of a large group, you can find some isolated areas that you can enjoy. However, there are only a few slides and there is no designated wave pool which most water parks have.

A Variety of Outdoor & Indoor Games

For those who are quite sporty, the resort also has facilities for outdoor games. There are open grounds for sports like badminton, cricket, tennis, basketball and football. In the swimming pool, there's a netted area for playing beach volleyball. Want to stay away from the heat of the sun? There are also facilities for indoor games such as carom, chess, table tennis, tambola and billiards. There are also facilities for video games and online games in the indoor games section. All of these games can be enjoyed for free, complimentary to the entry tickets, though you do need to pay for a refundable deposit fee for some of the indoor games.

The first package is named the Splurge in Splash, which is the most affordable one out of the three. It includes access to the Leo Splash, along with the outdoor games and indoor games sections. From 11:30 to 17:00, the guests can also access the rain dance area with music. Entry timings for this package are either from 10:00 to 18:00 or from 15:00 to 21:00. It costs Rs. 500 per person but it doesn't include any meals yet. If you intend to spend just a few hours on the water park, this is a suitable package for you but do bring some extra money for foods or snacks.

The second package is named the Magical Mornings, which is their morning or day time package. It includes access to the Leo Splash, along with the outdoor games and indoor games sections. From 11:30 to 17:00, the guests can also access the rain dance area with music as well. Entry timings for this package is from 10:00 to 18:00 only. It costs Rs. 1,150 per person and it does include a buffet lunch plus afternoon high tea. If you have small children with you and you have much time on your hands, this package is suitable for you.

The third package is the Effervescent Evenings, which is their late afternoon or night package. It includes access to the Leo Splash, along with the outdoor games and indoor games sections. From 11:30 to 17:00, the guests can also access the rain dance area with music as well. Entry timings for this package is from 15:00 to 21:00 only and it includes an afternoon high tea plus buffet dinner. If you want to avoid the heat of the day, then this package is suitable for you. Though if you have smaller children, it's best to be cautious as some areas can be dark and dangerous for them.

The Chargeable Activities

Just adjacent to the Leo Splash is the Circuit Chicane, also known as the Go Karting section of the resort. This section is divided into two areas, namely: the 600-Metre Recreational Go Karting Track and the 1,200-metre Professional Go Karting Track. There are also different available karts available, suitable for teens or adults.

These are the charges for the Go Karting section of the resort. The rates vary depending on the kart type but the most affordable one is the Baby Kart, which costs around Rs. 350 for 7 laps maximum, which is around 10 minutes of kart driving. Other karts cost a bit more, like the Twin Kart or Micro Max Kart. But usually, the round takes around 10 minutes with a maximum of 7 laps only or less. There are also packages, if you're part of a group or if you intend to hire the track for the whole day.

There are also other fun activities that one can enjoy in the resort. There's Euro Bungee, which is simply a huge trampoline that have side strappings. It lets you jump high enough for a sure ball of fun. If you're part of a group, there's Paintball, where you can compete with one another by shooting dye-filled paintballs to them. The first ever surf machine in the city is also located in the resort, so-called Flow Rider. It is different from other surfing ridge machines in that it is attached to a lazy river.

For surfing in Flow Rider, it costs around Rs. 200 per person per 15 minutes. If you would like to enjoy these activities for longer, then you need to pay for the required charges accordingly.

Aside from various food stalls located around the resort, there are also some restaurants that are located within the premises. This is especially useful for those who would avail of the first package that doesn't include any meals. The best part is that they offer various cuisines in each restaurant as well.

These are the restaurants located in the resort. The first one is Sun N Moon, located close to the main entrance of the resort. Cuisines served here are South Indian, North Indian and Continental. It is open from 7:00 to 22:30 daily. The restaurant serves breakfast buffets daily, from Mondays to Sundays. Favourite dishes in this restaurant are their Aloo Paratha and Mutton Curry. The second one is Leo Bistro, which is located on the western side of the resort. Cuisines served here are North Indian and Continental. It is open daily, from 12:00 to 15:30 and from 19:00 to 23:30. Best seller dishes here are their Dal Makhani and Chicken 65.

Next, there's the Leo Cafe, which is located close to the Leo Splash Water Park. The cuisine served here is mostly Indian and it is open from 9:00 in the morning up to 18:00 in the evening. This is also where the buffet spread for lunch and dinner is served. Last is Shahi Handi, where Hyderabadi cuisine is served. It is open daily, from 12:00 to 15:30 and from 19:00 to 23:30. A must try dish here is none other than their Chicken Biryani, which has an aromatic smell and good balance of flavours.

For the adults, the resort also has lounges slash bars that you can spend some time in. Most offer Indian starter dishes or finger foods too so you have something to go with your cocktail or beverage. They usually open early in the evening until midnight. They also have music playing in the background so you can relax whilst enjoying the soothing tunes.

The Staying Options

There are four hotels located within the resort complex. The first one is the Leo Celestia Suites, their all-suite hotel option. It has a central swimming pool, surrounded by the low-rise all-suite building. You can choose from various types of suites, which all have lovely classic interiors. The designs are very minimalistic but exude elegance. From the wooden furnitures, regal lamps and to the windows overlooking the garden or swimming pool.
