Local train from Pune to Lonavala

We a group of friends will be going to Lonavala in mid-December and we were wondering if there are any local trains from Pune to Lonavala which we can get.
Getting a taxi would be too costly and plus there is more than 4 of us and going in a taxi would not be comfortable even though the journey is only an hours drive.

Please give details of the local train from Pune to Lonavala.

The distance between Pune and Lonavala is about 65 kilometres or an hour of driving away, like you said. Lonavala is located to the northwest of Pune, en route to Mumbai. Lonavala is a favourite weekend getaway, both for those coming from Pune and for those coming from Mumbai. Its proximity to these locations makes it easily accessible for the residents of both cities. The hill station of Lonavala is blessed too when it comes to scenic views and even pleasant climate conditions. Sightseeing is very much possible, with the hill station's view points, forts, temples and caves. How to Reach Lonavala By Local Train from Pune

There is a total of 18 local trains plying from Lonavala to Pune. It starts from Pune Junction, passes through different stations and finally ends its journey at the Lonavala Station. The trains are operated by the Pune Suburban Railway, a part of the Central Railway, which in turn is a zone of the Indian Railways. Duration of journey is around 1 hour and 20 minutes so it isn't too bad as compared to road journey. Fare is also just at Rs. 55 to Rs. 70, very minimal especially for budget travellers.
