Our family will be in Shimla during late February. We will be spending around 5-6 days there, going to the tourist places and just generally spending some family time together.

We are all keen on doing some winter sports and have heard that Narkanda is a popular place for skiing and other winter sports. If time allows we would really love to visit Narkanda, but need to know the Narkanda distance from Shimla.

Narkanda is about 60 kilometres from Shimla and it shouldnt take more than 3 hours to get there.

I would say not more than 2 hours if the weather permits. 3 hours would be for bad weather conditions or traffic. So if you want to reach Narkanda from Shimla in less time, avoid office and school hours and dont travel on a rainy day.
