Places to visit in Delhi NCR

I will be in Delhi next month. I wish to visit places in Delhi NCR and would like to know what all places I should visit. All I know about Delhi is India Gate and Qutab Minar, so I need some more information or more like a list or where I should go in the Delhi NCR region.

It's going to be May next month and very hot, so although seeing things which are outdoors would not be suitable, I would still you to mention them, as I would probably consider visiting these places in the early mornings or late afternoon/early evening.

Outdoor places you can visit in the mornings or evenings:

Dilli Haat: A vibrant market complex where you can buy souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional Indian food and clothing.
