I am going to be making a booking for a resort in Goa and am thinking about the Pride Sun Village Resort and Spa. I have a few queries about the resort which I would like to go to and would like members to answer my queries to the best of their knowledge.

    1. Please provide details about the facilities and services provided at the resort spa.

    2. What options are there for the food served at the resort? Is there a good variety and choice of food options?

    3. Can we have meals made to order as well?

What is the Pride Sun Village Resort & Spa?

The Pride Sun Village and Resort is a four-star property in the northern part of Goa. It is about a 10-minute walk away from the famous Saturday Night Market of Arpora. If you're into the night life, the property is also easily accessible from the clubs in the beaches of Anjuna, Baga and Calangute.

The resort is set amidst lush greenery and the architectural style is that of the colonial era. Don't be surprised to see statues around the property though. Features like bricked exteriors and wooden flooring give the property a rustic look, which is very pleasing to the eyes. Rooms also have the same design, with wooden furnitures and marble flooring.

What are the room options in the Pride Sun Village Resort & Spa?

You can choose between two room types, namely: Standard Room and Superior Room. Both are very affordable and equipped with the latest amenities too. Aesthetically designed, yet comfortable, you're sure to enjoy your stay in the Pride Sun Village Resort and Spa.
    • Standard Room - Luxury doesn't need to burn a hole in your pocket and the Standard Room would prove just that. With rates starting at Rs. 5,599 per night, you can feel like royalty already. The living room area is separated from the bedroom too, so you can have some sort of space. Internet access is already included complimentary to the room's tariff. Other amenities like television, fridge and tea/coffee maker are also available. Lastly, there's a balcony too, offering you wonderful views of the city.
    • Superior Room - A bit more expensive but caters to those who enjoy premium amenities is the Superior Room, with price starting at Rs. 6,699 per night. A separate living room with television can relax you and your loved one. On the other hand, the bedroom has a window too, overlooking the city. Or go to the private balcony and enjoy the surrounding views while reading your favourite book. And yes, it comes with internet, fridge and tea/coffee maker too.
What are the facilities and services available in the Pride Sun Village Resort & Spa?

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. This swimming pool is spacious enough for a few guests to enjoy. On the other hand, if relaxation is more of your thing, indulge in a massage or treatment in the spa. Or for those who cannot let a day pass by without working out, you can try your hand at the in-house gym. There's also an indoor sports centre with games like table tennis, darts and pool.

For the services provided by the resort, there's laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services, for a surcharge of course. The resort also provides shuttle services to some of the main areas near it, like Baga Beach. You can also avail of water sports activities right from the resort, like scuba diving courses or snorkelling.

For the foreigners, services like currency exchange and ticket booking are also available here. If ever you have any queries about sightseeing in Goa, there's also the resort's travel desk to help you. And lastly, for the business travellers, there are conference halls and even a business centre to aid you in your work needs.

What are the restaurants in the Pride Sun Village Resort & Spa?

With five dining options, you won't ever need to go out of the resort just to enjoy your meals in the city. Don't worry as these restaurants have a variety of cuisine so your palate would be spoiled with delicious choices.
    • Sunflower - This is their all-day dining and buffet restaurant, with multi-cuisine dishes. The restaurant is spacious too and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Their breakfast spread is especially extensive, with a range of American, Indian and other dishes.
    • Hibiscus - A bit more casual is the Hibiscus restaurant, it offers a wide variety of cuisine too, from Tandoori to Continental to Indian. Whether you're into meat, seafood or you're a vegetarian, you can find dishes here to compliment your tastes.
    • Tonatiuh - If you're not into buffet spreads, then there's Tonatiuh, where you can relish in ala carte dishes of Indian, Goan, Chinese and Continental cuisines. During night time, the restaurant becomes a hot spot for a laid-back evening as it turns into a lounge/bar.
    • Frangipani - Located by the poolside, Frangipani is perfectly combined with swimming and fun. Dishes like grilled seafood and meats are served along with other Tandoori dishes.
    • Sundowner - This is a lounge beside the swimming pool, serving cocktails and other beverages to guests. Enjoy chatting with your friends or loved ones, along with a friendly game of pool.
You can also request for special meals, as long as you do so in advance.

    I hope this helps you.:)
