These are budget resort properties in Goa, that provide for basic accommodation options at affordable prices. The Sea Breeze Beach Resort is located in Tivai Vaddo, just a little ahead of Don Bosco Hotel. Though compact, the hotel exudes a tranquil and cozy vibe, perfect for families, friends and couples alike.
The Location
The resort is just 400 metres away from the Candolim Beach so just around 5 minutes of walking away. The famous Tito's Lane, where various clubs and pubs can be found, is located about six kilometres away from the property. Various restaurants are located within walking distance from the resort, like Pizza Hut, A Reverie and Nirvana Bar & Restaurant. Attractions like the Saint Anthony's Chapel and Saint Alex Church are also easily accessible from the resort. The Calangute Bus Station is located to the north of the property, which you can easily reach by riding a taxi or an auto rickshaw.
The Vibe
The property has well-maintained gardens that envelope the surrounding areas of the main units. There's a central swimming pool, quite huge in size, which can accommodate a few families or groups of friends. The building surrounding the pool has two storeys and has this bricked facade to it. The reception area sports the same bricked orange look and has a few sitting areas for waiting guests. The general vibe of the resort is quite a mixture of heritage and contemporary but it has this laid-back appeal to it. This gives the resort a more cozy and homely atmosphere, especially with the bungalow-like appearance.

The Staying Options
There is only one type of room in the resort, the Standard AC Room. You have the option of choosing from a Standard AC Room located in the ground floor or on the upper floor. The best feature of their rooms is their spaciousness, they can easily accommodate up to four persons. The design of the rooms is very simple, with whitewashed walls and tiled flooring.

The furnitures are a bit on the traditional side especially the sitting area and desk. The television is also of the old-style and not of the newer flat-screen ones. What the property lacks in amenities in rooms, they make up for it by providing top-notch quality of services in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Rooms also have a private balcony where you can enjoy the view of the swimming pool or garden from but not the sea proper as it is not visible from the property.

Most of the dishes served here are of the Indian and Continental variety. The breakfast spread isn't that extensive but offers a good range of sandwiches and breads. You do have some other dining options located close to the property.

The Facilities & Services
The resort provides for a myriad of facilities and services to guests. However, keep in mind that this is a budget resort and so the number of facilities and services cannot be compared to higher end ones. The staff and management do try hard to make everything work out for every guest, as much as possible. Those who are truly in Goa for just sightseeing and beach exploring would find that these facilities would suffice for them already. But for those who plan to stay in the resort for longer, the number of facilities offered might not be sufficient for them.

The main attraction of the resort is its outdoor swimming pool. The swimming pool is located amidst the garden area, with plenty of sun lounges and dining tables around. It is maintained well by the staff and even if you find it a bit dirty, you can always request for the staff to clean it up before you use it. The poolside snack bar, mentioned above, can also be easily accessed from the swimming pool. The vast gardens provide for some refreshing atmosphere to guests as well.

Internet is available only in the poolside area of the resort. It is also available only during day time and signal won't be as strong. It is therefore best to bring your own pocket WiFi or rely on your device's 3G for internet. Other facilities available in the property are currency exchange, travel desk, power backup, parking and car or bike rentals. Some facilities missing here are banquet halls, conference halls, business centre and fitness centre. But since this is merely a two-star property, it is not really necessary for such features to be covered.
The services offered by the management are also not that extensive. You cannot rely on room service as they don't provide that service to guests. Thus, you can't have your tea or food delivered in your room. You have to reach the poolside snack bar to avail of such beverages or snacks. The management does offer shuttle or transfer services for guests for a surcharge but make sure you request for them in advance. Sightseeing tours can also be requested for by the guests.
The Verdict
The Sea Breeze Beach Resort in Calangute is a budget property that is suitable for a short stay in Goa. It is advisable to book a room from this property if you want to stay in the central Goa area but want to venture away from the noise and bustle of it. If you're someone who is okay with a basic room with just the bare necessities, then you would do well with this resort. Further, various hotel booking sites offer discounted rates for properties like this one so you can take advantage of those offers. Its proximity to the beach is yet another upside of the resort. However, on some aspects, it does score low, like not having 24/7 operational restaurant or even in the lack of room services for guests. Taking these aspects into account, you can then decide if this property is worth your money or not.
