A group of us are organising a trip from Srinagar to Leh and we would like to take a taxi to Leh. I have tried searching the internet for taxi fares but have not found anything, I have even phoned a taxi company but for some reason they refused to tell me the fare, so I didn't bother making any other phone calls, hence have registered on the forum.
I believe that when traveling from Srinagar to Leh you can either make a straight journey or have a night halt at Kargil. I think that is the cost is the same then the night halt option is the best, what do you guys think?
If a night halt in Kargil is opted, should we prebook the hotel in Kargil?
How long would the journey take from Srinagar to Kargil and then from Kargil to Leh?
