Hello everyone. I found some cool info about the Raj Mandir Movie Theater located in Jaipur India. It sounds like a very cool destination guide, especially for lovers of the cinematic arts. It's been around for a long time, since 1976, and is a staple of Indian culture. They play the Indian national anthem before the start of each film too which is very cool. It's very big in size. Seating around 1,200, it takes on more of the feel of a live concert amphi-theatre then a movie house. It has also been listed as number three of the 10 best movie theaters in the world on travel.com. Check it Out!
Hello! The Raj Mandir Cinema has been around since the 1970's and lots of Bollywood movies had premiered in here in the past. It is located in Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan in India. The first film to ever premier in the cinema was "Charas." The cinema was designed by the architect named W.M. Namjoshi. Looking at it from the outside, there are zigzags, stars, curves and asymmetrical shapes. You can see this come alive at night when the lights are all lit up. From the exterior again, you can see the theatre's claim to fame, "The Showplace of the Nation – Experience the Excellence." Inside the theatre, in the lobby, are large chandeliers and a ramp with stairs that takes the people to the cinema itself. There are stalls and balcony areas in the cinema. The decors and designs are all intricately thought of and very exquisite. It's no wonder locals all over India visit this theatre as well as tourists all over the world. I do think it's one of the best cinemas in Asia, if not the world. Seeing a movie in the theatre is an experience in itself.
