Would I need to get a different visa to enter Napal? Does anyone know if the visa requirements are the same and I could use my India visa to cross the boarder.
You'll need a different visa to get into Nepal. When I went a couple of years ago, though, this just meant that you had to buy one at the border. You just take your passport, fill out some forms, pay a small amount of money, and away you go! I've heard a couple of stories of unscrupulous border guards trying to cause problems, but I was with an Indian friend of mine who knows the process well, and it all went without a hitch. Check to see that this is still up to date information, though, by looking on the Nepalese government's/visa site.
