Autan Vs Deet

I am going to India in April and the only thing I am scared of when going is getting mosquitos bites and getting ill. I would be using Autan or Deet and would like to know which is better out of the two and be more effective in India?

My cousins who came from the USA had brought both Deet repellent and Autan repellent. Auten didn't really do anything for them and they ended up getting bitten by mosquitos. The next time the used Deet which worked much better, they had to reapply it every 4-5 hours but it did the trick.

I haven't personally used these products but sharing what my cousins experienced and thought worked for them.

Although things work differently for different people, so I would suggest that you bring both insect repellents. Better to be safe than sorry!
