I am going to Chennai with my family who are all vegetarians, and when it comes to eating out we always end up going to the worst restaurants. This time, I have thought of getting some recommendations for restaurants to make sure we at least get some good food.

Here's some of the best vegetarian restaurants in Chennai:

• Peaches. They have North Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean and Italian cuisines. Try out their Tandoori Vegetables and Veggie Meatballs Pasta. Their cheese-based dishes taste good as well, try the Mozzarella Sticks and Corn & Cheeseballs. They are located specifically at 81, Rajalakshmi Nagar, 100 Feet Bypass Road, Velachery, Chennai.

• Kaidi Kitchen. There's lots of cuisine to choose from: Italian, Mexican, Lebanese, Thai, Chinese and North Indian. The restaurant's design is fun, it has a prison-themed one. Try out their Veggie Lasagna and Paneer Sheek Kebab. I loved their Cheeseballs as well. They are located at 20/3, Bishop Wallers Avenue, Mylapore, Chennai.

• Royal Vega. They have North Indian and Mughlai cuisines. The hotel's ambience is very elegant and posh. I love their vegetarian meals too. Try out the Paneer Ki Subzi or the Sheet Paneer. Locate at ITC Grand Chola, 63, Mount Road, Guindy, Chennai.
