Boating price in Varanasi

Me n my boyfriend are visiting Varanasi soon and we want to take a boat ride in River Ganga, I think that would be a cool idea to see all the ghats from a different angle Is there any way by which we can get a boat with boatman for a whole day and what would be the reasonable price for the same? Has anyone done this before?

You can hire a boat when you get there but I wonder what you would do all day in a boat. It is at the most an hours affair if you ask me. At the most may be 2-3 hours but beyond that I dont know what you would do in a boat.

You could be paying anything from Rs150 - Rs300 for a morning hour boat ride, it would depend on the boatman and his boat. It is always good to negotiate the costs to get a better price.
