Booking helicopter for Vaishno Devi

I am planning a visit to Vaishno Devi in April and I have heard that there is a helicopter ride facility which is available from Katra to the main mandir. I need some simple questions answered, I would be grateful if I can get a quick response.

How do I go about booking the tickets for the helicopter ride?

How much in advance would I need to make the booking?

What is the cost of the tickets?

You can book the helicopter tickets at the Shrine board's official website : maavaishnodevi.org

Tickets cost Rs 1038/- each and the flight is about 10 mins if I remember correctly. The helipad at Katra is on Udhampur road which is about 2 KM from Katra bus stand. Helicopter will drop you at Snjhichat which is again about 2.5 to 3 kms from the Bhavan or main temple.

You should be able to geat a seat if you book 10-12 days in advance but the problem is that if weather is bad they wont fly and you would be stuck.
