It's a shame but as a film student I only know and learned about the industry itself and some classics, the social embedness. But nothing about contemporary movies or the public voice on them.
You know, I don't think I do know of any Bollywood movies by name. I know of the genre, of course, but I can't say that I could tell you a film title or anything like that. I feel like though there is a growing appreciation of the genre which is why I know of it here - maybe it will become more mainstream in my country with time!
