Me and my Mrs and planning to go Goa in the first week of July, we have no idea whether this is a suitable time to go or not so need some advice from the members.
A few questions have been listed below.

1. What is the weather like in Goa during the first week of July?

2. Are we able to do any water sports in July?

3. Is this an off-peak or peak season to visit Goa?

1. What is the weather like in Goa during the first week of July?

July is still considered as monsoon season in Goa. You might experience rain showers some days and on the days, there might be sunshine. But the seas are generally still rough and a lot of water activities are not yet available. Aside from that, although it rains, during the month of July it's still pretty hot. There will be days though that there are heavy rains so be wary of that.

2. Are we able to do any water sports in July?

The only water sport you can do during July is white water rafting. The most popular river to do white water rafting is in the Mhadei River. Another one is Tilari River. During the monsoon season, the rapids are very high and makes for a great ride in the river. That's why the months of June to September is the perfect season for white water rafting.

3. Is this an off-peak or peak season to visit Goa?

The month of July is considered an off-peak season. There's not much you can do or see during this month. Since it's off-season though, you can find great deals on accommodations which is one great advantage. Peak season in Goa is from October to January.

4. Any recommendations of where we should go in Goa?

Here's a few places you can enjoy during the monsoon season in Goa:

• Visit Dudhsagar Falls. During the monsoon season, the Dudhsagar Falls come alive. You will find the gushing waters extremely strong and beautiful.

• Visit the Divar Island. During the monsoon season, the Bonderam Festival happens in the Divar Island. It is a very colourful festival with lively music from local bands.

• Visit the Vagator Beach. The Arabian Sea and the Chapora River merge during the rainy season and it's an amazing sight to be seen.

• Visit the Chapora Fort. The fort's beauty is enhanced during the monsoon season when it's clouded by fog and rain.

• Have fun at the Wildlife Sanctuaries in Goa like the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary and the Mollem National Park.

• Learn more about spices on the Spice Plantation and witness the lush greenery of the place.
