Helicopter booking to Vaishnodevi

I need to book a helicopter to Vaishno Devi from Katra, and dont know where to make the booking from and what procedures there are. I need a return booking so some idea of cost would also be a great.

You need to book the helicopter tickets around 1 month prior to the booking and you can make the booking for the official site of Vaishno Devi or from an agent.

If you are going during a festival or when the kids holidays are on then you need to prebook tickets well in advance, as sometimes it is not easy getting tickets for the helicopter ride.

When going Vaishno Devi and wanting to take the helicopter to the mandir, the best thing to do is book the helicopter tickets from the hotel you are staying at. They will handle everything themselves, it is much easier to do it this way, but you need to make sure that you make the helicopter ride bookings in advance because it is not always necessary that you will get the tickets.

If you want to book it on-line, just register in their official website. Once you are registered, login with your user name and password and select helicopter services. Then you need to enter details like date, time, route, passenger details etc and make the payment with your credit card. You are supposed to report at the heliport one hour before the scheduled departure. There are no tickets required for children of two years or below. Its an 8 minute journey.
