How to cancel train ticket?

I had booked three train tickets from Delhi to Mumbai, and one of us is not traveling anymore so I need to cancel the ticket. I am having a problem in canceling the ticket, I don't know whether I am doing something wrong on my end!

I would be grateful if someone could please let me know how to cancel the train ticket.

To cancel a train ticket in India, you need to follow these steps:

1. Log in to your IRCTC account on the official website, IRCTC Next Generation eTicketing System.
   
   
2. Click on the 'Cancel Ticket' option available on the homepage.
   
   
3. Select the ticket you wish to cancel and click on the 'Cancel Ticket' button.
   
   
4. Confirm the cancellation and select the passenger for whom you wish to cancel the ticket.
   
   
5. Click on the 'Cancel Ticket' button to complete the cancellation process.
   
   
6. The refund amount will be credited to your account, depending on the mode of payment you used for booking the ticket.

Please note that cancellation charges will be applicable as per the cancellation policy of Indian Railways, and the refund amount will depend on the time of cancellation and the class of ticket.
