There are about 65 trains plying between Delhi and Agra. The main railway station in Agra is the Agra Cantonment Railway Station. Most trains from Delhi terminate at this station. But if you need to reach other stations, they are usually passed by on the way to the Agra Cantonment, some of which are the Raja Ki Mandi Railway Station, Idgah Railway Station and Agra Fort Railway Station. Journey duration depends on the train. But on average, it's between 2 hours to 6 hours. As you can see, even as early as 3:36, there's already a train departing to reach Agra. There's a train until 22:30 as well so even if you leave during night time, you would be able to board a train going to Agra.
From the Agra Cantonment, the Taj Mahal is about 9.5 kilometres away. The Agra Fort is about 4.6 kilometres away from the Agra Cantonment, although you can just be dropped off at the Agra Fort Railway Station, since it's merely 600 metres away from the fort.
