Radio cabs are very popular these days and a lot of people use them to get around the city.
There is a slight difference of say about Rs50 - Rs100 in different cities, but nothing major.
It is a good way of getting around in the city, as the service is quick the rest depends on how the traffic is in the city. In a city like Delhi the traffic can be horrendous so sometimes getting the Metro rail is the best bet.

I use Ola cabs, they have a reliable service and their rates are good. Most cab companies have their own app and Ola does as well. It easily gives you the options to choose the type of car and time of travel.
