Resort in Chennai for Unmarried Couple

I and my girlfriend have booked some flights to Chennai and now need to find a resort in Chennai, and we are quite unsure whether it is easy finding a resort for an unmarried couple or even if it is ok to stay together in a resort because of being unmarried.

Do you guys have any recommendations on what resorts are suitable for unmarried couples?

Should we prebook or just show up?

How safe is it for an unmarried couple to stay in a resort together?
 
You can choose any resort you wish to, no one will ask you if you are married or ask for a marriage certificate. If you do want to be on the safer side, it would be a good idea to choose a resort in ECR part of Chennai or simply be wise to choose a reputed hotel or a 3 or 4-star hotel, where there are no issues regarding unmarried couples staying together.
