Temperatures In October?

Is October the best time to go to India. I like warmth but not too warm that I don't want to walk around outside during the day. Is there a better time of the year to go?

In my opinion from October to February is the best time to visit India, escpecially Chhattisgarh and enjoy the beautiful greenary, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries located all around the state.
