Things to do in Dubai

My wife wants to visit Dubai and this year I thought I would treat her. To make the trip better, I would prefer creating an itinerary, and for me to do that, I would like to know what things to do in Dubai.

I would like to know about the places to go and see (tourist places), the things to experience and the places to shop at.

Burj Al Arab - the only 7-star hotel in the world
Gold Souq - where you can buy jewelries for a cheap price
Dubai Mall - the biggest mall in UAE housing a variety of stores including high-end ones (LV, Hermes, Gucci, etc)
Atlantis - where you can experience sky diving
