Understanding Camping In India

Camping is just slowly growing in India for last few years. It was never a big trend in India and will not be big anytime soon. Of course, as I said already, it is slowly growing, but it will take long time before it becomes a mainstream activity. There are a few tourism businesses that are organizing and promoting various kinds of camping off late, but it doesn’t have that traditional camping experience. Also, safety can be a major issue in India.

Yeah, its not that big and its not the way it is in America. I have to say even there the trend related to camping is going down. Anyways, I would say that about 10% of the sub-25 youth usually does go on camping trips. The number will only grow as people get more and more comfortable and as tourism, as well as, camping sites develop.
