Weather in Sikkim in June

As you all know the school holidays have started and its the time of year where you go out with your family to some nice place. In the past, we have been to the majority of hill stations, and it is getting a bit boring as all the hill stations seem the same.

This time, we have thought of visiting Sikkim, which is slightly different from the typical hill station holidays. The only thing holding us back making any bookings is the weather in Sikkim in June.

We would like someone to advise us on how the weather would be like in Sikkim during the month of June.

Is it worth visiting during June?

The average temperature in Sikkim during the month of June is between 11c - 19c and June is the month when monsoons start, so you will get rain there. The later you go in June the greater the chances of rain. It is also a time when you will see a lesser number of tourists.

Some people who do visit Sikkim in the month of June say it is worth going as due to the rains the sky becomes clear and you can view the mountains and beautiful scenery of Sikkim.

Whether Sikkim is worth visiting or not during June, depends on you. If you don't mind going out in the rain or won't be doing much apart from relaxing and just seeing some tourist places then I suppose there is no harm in going June. If you plan to do more like some kinds of activities and don't want to risk your holidaying getting spoilt by the rain then I would suggest you go to Sikkim in early to mid May.
