What is currency of Dubai?

I would like to find out what the currency of Dubai is and also find out what the currency rate against the Indian Rupee is?

I am aware that the currency rate does change from a day to day basis, but getting an idea would allow me to work out the expenditure when I travel to the destination.
 
Dubai is the part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It's the most popular and at the same time the most populated city in the UAE. The currency used in this part of the world is the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED). As of today 1 AED approximately equals 18 INR. The average cost of living in Dubai is almost 100 percent of that of Bangalore. Cost of living per person inclusive of everything comes to around sixty thousand Indian Rupees. It's one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in.
