Hi, I am back again with yet another train inquiry. There are just so many codes in IRCTC that's it is difficult to know what they all mean.

This time I would like to know what is the meaning of ARP in IRCTC?
 
The meaning of ARP in IRCTC means Advance Reservation Period. This simply means that you can book your train tickets in advance. Previously the advance reservation period was 60 days but it has been increased to 120 days by the Indian Railways, which means that passengers can book their train tickets 120 days (that's roughly 4 months) in advance from the date of travel.
