How Many Sectors in Chandigarh?

I am interested in knowing how many sectors are in Chandigarh. I know a lot of sectors carry forward to places like Mohali and Zirakpur and when going to Chandigarh I would be able to know whether I am within Chandigarh or not.

Chandigarh has 56 sectors, the sectors start from 1 and go up to 56 being the last sector in Chandigarh. Sectors beyond 56 are in the Mohali area.
Each sector in Chandigarh is marked and you will find directions to all the sectors within Chandigarh.

If for any reason you need to ask directions and find someplace and you get told that you need to go to sector 13, then don't be fooled as there is no sector 13 in Chandigarh.
