Ooty or Kodaikanal or Munnar?

I have numbered down to three destinations which are Ooty, Kodaikanal, and Munnar, and the hard decision is to choose between the three destinations.
I have not seen any of these places and although I have studied them and seen images of the places I am finding it difficult to choose one out of the three.

I would like to get help from members of the forum to help me decide which location I should choose.

Please list why you think I should choose the destination which you have suggested.

Thank you.

Well, it actually depends on your interests... But to summarise, here are the major attractions and activities in each destination:

Ooty. This is probably the most famous hill station in South India. You can see lots of pine trees here basically because temperature in Ooty can go as low as zero degrees. If you particularly like scenic views, then this place is for you. Here are some major tourist destinations in Ooty:

  • The Botanical Garden
  • Fern Hills Palace
  • Oozy Lake
  • Toda Hut
  • Golfing or Golf Courses
Kodaikanal. The only downside to this place is the road to get there, it can get pretty steep and curvy. However, there are mostly views of the planes or plantations in these roads. A few destinations here are:
  • Kodaikanal Lake
  • Bryant Park
  • Coaker's Walk
  • Bear Shola Falls
  • Green Valley View
Munnar. It's best to visit Munnar during the rainy season to see the amazing waterfalls. But like Kodaikanal, there's not much greenery here during summer season so there's not much to see. But if you'd like to see tea plantations, it's the place to be. Here are some destinations in Munnar:
  • Eravikulam National Park
  • Amanda Peak
  • Mattupetty
  • Pallivasal
  • Tea Museum
If I were to choose, it has to be Ooty for me. It is the place with most greeneries and trees. And I really do like places with cold temperatures. Otherwise, if you like places with warm temperatures, better choose the other two destinations. I hope this helps!

Hi you!!!!!
Between theses three beautiful locations Ooty, Kodaikanal, and Munnar, it is very difficult to opt one , and seriously you have given a hard choice but I like to give your pick for your journey.
In comparison to Ooty and Kodaikanal I opt for Munnar for more than one reason, First it is not commercialised, not over crowded, busy , nice sightseeing spots, very much unexploited and very budget friendly. That's are my reason apart from all the beautiful and exquisite and picturesque view Munnar offer including almost every shades of green colour, watching these shades of green proves to be the feast for the eyes and pleasant and quite atmosphere is for the soul.
While travelling through Munnar you actually feel yourself rejuvenated and fresh and this is not the kind of place you explore in one day so go there when you have time in your hand. Hope my answer will be helpful while picking your kind of destination. Thanks.
